TODAY’S GAME SCHEDULED MODIFIED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
17th Annual Baltimore City Public Schools Basketball Academy through Saturday at Morgan State University

***NOTE THE MODIFIED GAME SCHEDULE BELOW.
SATURDAY’S SCHEDULE WILL REMAIN THE SAME.

(January 25, 2013, Baltimore, Maryland) – Due to inclement weather, some schools previously scheduled are unable to make today’s Basketball Academy. The modified schedule for tonight’s competition is below. Saturday, January 26 game schedule will remain the same and can be found online: http://bballacademy.com/schedules/game/.

5:30 pm       Patterson Mill vs. Milford Mill (G)
7:00 pm       Lake Clifton vs. Edmondson-Westside (B)
8:30 pm       Dunbar vs. City College (B) presented by

WHAT:              The 17th Annual Baltimore City Public Schools Basketball Academy presented by State Farm combines competitive basketball matches between 23 of the top high school teams in Maryland with cultural enrichment, service learning and academic programs in the areas of SAT prep, financial literacy, Rites of Passage, gang awareness, bullying prevention and more.

Tickets are $10 per day. Children under five years old are admitted free. Advanced tickets can be purchased at participating schools or by calling 410-396-8569.

WHY:                 The Basketball Academy exposes the area’s most talented youth to each other and the broader community. This program is the longest-running program of its kind and one of few in the country that immerses students in academics, athletics, and cultural programs.
